Articulum Medical Student Essay Prize
: An essay prize of £500/740 Euros/CAD$1,000 will be awarded to the medical student who writes the finest essay examining a piece of work which has improved his or her understanding of an aspect of the impact of arthritis orother musculoskeletal conditions and how to improve musculoskeletal health.
 
This new award aims to raise awareness in medical training of the burden of musculoskeletal conditions and the options for prevention and treatment. All entries will be reviewed by Professor AD Woolf, Professor Algis Jovaisas and Professor Stefan Lohmander according to predetermined scoring criteria. Entries must consist of a structured essay of up to 5000 words and a completed application form, available on the www.articulumessayprize.com website. Medical students from the UK, Canada and Europe may apply. Closing date for entries is 31 March 2007.
