Mike Bell, BOA President, welcomes you to the Portal. The BOA portal is taking on a whole new look -- we are so pleased to participate in the Bone and Joint Decade’s central musculoskeletal website by having a BOA sub-portal on it. The BOA Portal offers three levels of access: the first level is open access and provides our society’s window to the public, the second level contains distinctive educational content and requires log-in with name and email address; and the third level contains exclusive BOA pages, specifically designed and managed by our staff for members. The link with the main BJD site serves to galvanise our web collaboration with the international organisation. If you are an orthopaedic surgeon, you may request a higher level of access to site content - click on the "Create Personal Account" link on the top-right of this screen. You may be asked to provide some additional information about yourself. If you are a BOA Member then remember to select BOA as your Society on the drop-down list when you create your personal account and you will then be eligible to view content which is private to BOA Members.
If you have - or can suggest - content which you think would be either of general interest to the BJD/ and other participating Societies, or content which you would like to share just with fellow-BOA members, then please write to portal@boa.ac.uk and your suggestions will be reviewed.
The BOA's own website is live at www.boa.ac.uk
