Professor Hvid is now in the process of contacting relevant organisations and individuals in order to start the National Action Network.
A first Network meeting will take place on October 28, 1999 in Copenhagen.
Professor Hvid is in contact with the BJD Steering Committee.
The Danish government is officially supporting The Bone and Joint Decade. The Danish Health Minister, Mr Arne Rolighed, has signed the Bone and Joint Decade Declaration of Support 2001-02-06.
