On March 25, 2004 Prof. Dr Sc. Andrija Hebrang, minister of health and social care of Croatia, signed the declaration of support of the Bone and Joint Decade.
On March 5, 2004 an inaugural meeting took place and a National Action Network was established in Croatia. Prof. Dr Sc. Marko Pecina was elected coordinator.
