Planned activities (march 2000): To set up a National Arthritis Foundation, June-July 2000. Arrange for a local Rheumatology Meeting April 23-24 2000 and an Annual Rheumatology Meeting Nov 25-26, 2000.
National endorsement was achieved on February 12 1999, signed by Dr Chi-Shean Chan.
During the last two years (2002), the Arthritis Foundation has organized a "special event" for BJD in October. The "special event" included lectures, posters and distinguished guests or patient presentations. More than 2000 citizens or patients participated the activity.
From July to October 2002, a rheumatology education program for civilians and patients was organized with thirteen different lectures. One part of the lectures is Rheumatology, and one part is osteoporosis.
