BJD Symposium October 28 - November 1, 2000. The Security Forces Hospital in Riyadh is organizing a symposium on the BJD. Several papers on the BJD will be presented, beginning with the HE Prof Hussain Jazairy, the WHO Regional Director. This symposium will be inaugurated by HRH Prince Naif Bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior in the presence of HE, Prof Osama Shobokshi, the Minister of Health for Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Arabian Government endorsed the Bone and Joint Decade initiative on December 5, 1998, with the Minister of Health, Professor Ossama Shabokshi officially announcing the Ministry's full support toward national efforts to promote the BJD movement in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
