On June 19, 2002, Mr Habib Mbarek, Ministry of Health of the Tunisian government, signed the Bone and Joint Decade declaration.
On September 6, 2002, symposium on arthritis of the knee organized by the Tunisian society of research on musculoskeletal diseases.
On October 12, 2002, a meeting was conducted with the Tunisian league against rheumatism and the Tunisian association of rheumatic patients. The topics included the role of the association of patients, back pain, and the epidemiological study of osteoarthritis of the knee and hip in Tunisia.
On October 19, 2002, a meeting was conducted with the osteoporosis association to discuss the treatment of osteoporosis, hormonal substitutive treatment, and biphosphonates.
January 2003: Meeting on road traffic trauma organized by the Tunisian Society of Orthopedic Surgery.
On January 17, 2003, symposium on osteoporosis.
